Uttar Pradesh is a good place for hotel management graduates as tourism, business travel and pilgrimages are on the rise in the state. The state has over 25 five-star and luxury hotels based in cities of Lucknow, Noida–Greater Noida, Agra, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj with many new properties under development. This is driving an ongoing need for skilled staff within operations, food & beverage, housekeeping and guest services.
In addition to the management program and its student-centered facilities, students receive considerable industrial experience as they complete internships in hotels, resorts, convention centers, event firms and travel companies throughout the state.
Manpower shortage – an international problem The hotel and catering industry has a huge demand for staff, both in the food promotion and conference fields as well as guest service. This skills shortage also offers suitable graduating candidates international career opportunities, as hoteliers look to hire skilled professionals from abroad.
