- #8 out of 200 under “Overall Category”

AIIMS Faculty
AIIMS Delhi boasts a highly qualified and experienced faculty with a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:13 to 1:50, depending on the class size and subject. Each subject is taught by professors who are specialists in their respective fields, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects. Faculty members are generally over 40 years of age and possess a minimum of 7 to 20 years of experience. They are approachable, supportive, and dedicated to student learning, often facilitating interactive and engaging teaching methods.
The faculty includes renowned experts, such as Dr. Randeep Guleria, and supports research initiatives, providing students with hands-on experience in medical practices. While classes can be intensive, with 80 to 90 lectures per semester and weekly practical sessions, students benefit from the faculty's deep knowledge and mentorship. Exams are held regularly, with an internal assessment contributing 30% to final grades. AIIMS Delhi maintains its reputation as a premier institution with faculty members who are enthusiastic about teaching and committed to student success.
AIIMS Delhi Hostel
The AIIMS hostel offers well-furnished rooms with shared accommodations for paramedical students and compulsory housing for BSc (Hons) nursing students. Hostel seats are limited, often resulting in a waiting period of up to a year. The monthly hostel rent is extremely affordable at approximately Rs. 20, with a security deposit of Rs. 1000, which is refundable. Electricity and water charges are included in a nominal fee of Rs. 1125 for the entire course duration.
Mess facilities offer quality and hygienic food at an additional cost of Rs. 3000 per month. The registration process for hostel accommodation is simple and can be completed online or during the admission process. Hostels are equipped with facilities like personal washrooms, study tables, Wi-Fi, and lift access. Students generally share rooms, with two-seater rooms including attached bathrooms, kitchens, and balconies; three and four-seater rooms have common bathrooms. Hostels also feature modern amenities such as TV rooms, gyms, and playgrounds, with round-the-clock security.
The proximity to academy buildings and hospitals is an added advantage.
