Jalandhar Lovely Professional University (LPU), one of the leading educational institutions in India, is proud to announce admissions for the upcoming academic year of 2026-27. As a NAAC grade A++ accredited university, the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025 have ranked LPU 9th among all government and private institutions in India and the 601-800 band worldwide. The online registration process for admissions to LPU is now open. To apply students can visit the LPU website and register for the LPUNEST. LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) serves as both an admission test and a pathway for students to secure scholarships. During the application period, candidates can choose their preferred programs and must take the LPUNEST to qualify for admission and potential financial support based on merit.

Among the 2023-24 batch, Yashasvi Yaduvanshi and Harsh Vardhan of BTech Computer Science and Engineering have secured a handsome package of Rs 52.08 lakh at Microsoft. A student of mechanical engineering secured the highest CTC of Rs 54.9 lakh. On the other hand, architecture, and MBA students have received packages of Rs 31.69 and Rs 29.3 lakh, respectively. Renowned companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Deloitte extended offers during the 2025 placement season.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases.

How to apply LPUNEST

Step 1 : Online Mode

Visit admissions.lpu.in and complete the following steps

• Step 1: Sign Up – Register onto LPUADMIT(admission.lpu.in) with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
• Step 2: Payment for LPUNEST Kit – The cost of LPUNEST Kit needs to be paid by the applicant as per his/ her choice.

Application Fee:

• Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys and Girls).
• Printed LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1500 (for Boys and Girls). The payment can be made using Online banking/Credit card/debit card / UPI.
• Step 3: General Information and Qualification details – The application form details like Aadhar card number, address details and qualification details need to be filled by the applicant.
• Step 4: Exam Information – Applicant needs to book the slot (preferred venue (if applicable), date and time as per their choice) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam. Applicant can also download the hall ticket from the portal.

Step 2 : Offline Mode

Offline Mode LPUNEST Kit may be obtained by the applicant from the University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.

• Cost of Application form of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys and Girls).
• Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST Kit, application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:
  • Manual Application: Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following Address: Block 30, Room No 102, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Delhi, GT Road, Phagwara, Punjab, India – 144411

Note: Incomplete application (For example: Declaration not signed) will not be processed. LPU does not take responsibility to inform these applicants. Such applicants will not be able to access the LPU Admit. Applicants are hence advised to duly fill the application form and dispatch it along with complete requisite documents in all respects.

Admission Process:

Submit Application

• Fill the application form and deposit the application fee.

Appear for LPUNEST

• Apply for LPUNEST (For Eligibility and Scholarship*)
• Slot booking and appear of your exam.

Result, Counselling & Seat Allotment

• After the declaration of the result, select the Programme for admission.
• Participate in Counselling Session for guidance on seat allotment and scholarship opportunities (if applicable).
• Apply and Qualify Interview (if applicable).
• Seat Allotment will be done based on counselling and on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Upload Requisite Documents
• Deposit Remaining Fees
