NIT Uttarakhand Admission Process - 2025 - Steps:

NIT Uttarakhand admission to the UG and PG courses involves an application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list, and counselling. Aspirants have to go through each admission stage for seat allotment. Candidates can register online for admission to their preferred course. The admission process at NIT Uttarakhand is as per the steps below:

1. Application Process

Candidates who wish to receive admission to NIT Uttarakhand must appear for the respective entrance exam such as JEE Main for BTech. Shortlisted students for each programme also have to go through a counselling round. Whereas, PhD applicants must directly through the official college website (https://nituk.ac.in/admissions).

2. NIT Uttarakhand Selection Rounds 2025

NIT Uttarakhand selects candidates based on a valid JEE Main score for BTech courses. Candidates are further allotted seats through JoSAA Counselling. Admission to MTech is through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly, for PhD admission, candidates are shortlisted for written tests based on required qualifications (GATE/NET/SET qualified). The qualified candidates are called for personal interviews.

3. Release of Cutoff list, Counselling & Admission Confirmation

Once the exams are over, NIT Uttarakhand cutoff for various courses are released by the respective counselling bodies. The placement drive of 2025 saw 59 job offers released to the students of BTech and MTech courses. Out of 59, 56 offers were released to the BTech students, while 3 offers were offered to the students of the MTech batch. For BTech, the highest salary package offered was INR 12.5 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 8.03 LPA.
