Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), established in 1956 under the University of Delhi, is a government medical college located in Delhi NCR, New Delhi. The institute is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is affiliated with Delhi University. It is accredited with A+ grade by NAAC. According to the IndiaToday Ranking 2025, Maulana Azad Medical College was ranked as India's 5th top medical college.
MAMC offers admission to UG, PG, Super-Speciality, and Diploma courses in various specializations. MAMC offers MD as its flagship course with a total fee of INR 39,000. The admission to UG, PG, and Super-Speciality courses is granted through the Delhi NEET, NEET PG, and NEET SS, respectively. Seats are allotted through the counselling conducted by MCC. NEET PG Round 1 closing rank for the general category was 31-44216 in 2024 for admission to MD/MS.
MAMC reserves 85% of the seats under the Delhi University Quota and 15% under the All India Quota. Out of 250 MBBS seats, the college reserves 6 seats for Government of India nominees. The college offers limited seats for MS/MD (153), Diploma (23), and M.Ch (4) based on merit.
MAMC placement report for 2025 has not been released yet. According to the NIRF 2023 report, postgraduate students earn about INR 89,757 per month on average. During their studies, students get paid internships with a monthly stipend of INR 20,000.
